HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHT
⊆ November 8th, 2007 by admin | ˜ Comments OffIs where you can find the latest information about Halloween Horror Nights.
Halloween in Orlando or Hollywood is unmatched due to Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Night!
Orlando has been the most elaborate and successful of the two locales. For a period between 2000 and 2006, Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood went dark. With Orlando’s site growing more and more popular, Hollywood was reborn in 2006.
Both locations offer a variety of haunts, taking advantage of the Universal icons, both classic as well as cut-from-the-cloth newbies hatched for Horror Night fans. Participants can also roam studio areas often restricted during normal theme park hours.
You can expect three basic types of trills during these scarefests.
Haunted Houses! Not just one, but several haunted houses (Orlando plans to have eight in 2007!) are customized throughout the park, in a variety of venues including studio soundstages, attraction waiting lines, or inside the attraction itself. These are the signature events during Halloween Horror Nights, with each house offering a theme like “Friday the 13th: Camp Blood”, “The Thing: Assimilation” and “Jack’s Funhouse in Clown-O-Vision.”
Scarezones are areas in the park – often open areas – that are redressed for terror and suspense. Also, special Halloween shows are offered during these nights.
2007 is shaping up into another terror-ific spooky season. Both Orlando and Hollywood venues are promoting the appearances of cinematic slasher giants Leatherface (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street), and Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) in a “Carnival of Carnage” night of horror. (Rumor has it they invited the internet slasher TV Face, but Krueger and Jack the Clown threatened to back down because of turf wars… the wimps.)
Halloween Horror Nights are only open specific nights during October, so you have to plan early.
